Biography

I studied English and American Studies at Chemnitz University of Technology from 2009 to 2013. During my BA studies, I spent a semester abroad in Granada, Spain. In 2013 I enrolled for a Master of Arts Degree in English and American Studies, specializing in linguistics and TESOL, and graduated in 2016. During my master studies, I completed a teaching internship at Sun Yat-sen University in Guangzhou and Zhuhai, China. After graduation, I worked as an English teacher at a vocational school in Chemnitz and at a private high school in Zhuhai, China. Since February 2019, I have been working as research staff on the ERASMUS+ project “TEFL-ePAL”, which aims at improving the English program at Palestinian higher education institutions. From March 2020 onwards, I’ve also been working on subproject D03 Credibility Through Non-native Language Varieties in Conversational Pedagogical Agents of the Collaborative Research Center “Hybrid Societies”.
